I think it's a normal/common emotion to feel in life in general, especially for those prone to mood disorders.

I think it's normal because when I have ups and downs with my husband I don't like to talk to my friends and family about it, because I know that we will be fine and if I whinge about it to them it could tarnish their view of him, create drama etc where it is completely unnecessary. I'm also very private when it comes to my personal relationships 
So I usually just collect my thoughts and straighten my head out on my own and I find that is a lonely feeling sometimes

No partner is going to always 100% be there for you. They've got their own life to live as well! Even though I'm in a great relationship with the most supportive man I can imagine, there have been times when I'm on a work trip and having insomnia when I feel quite alone
