when did you tell / when will you tell ?

When did/are you telling everyone about the baby? I heard wait til 12 weeks.. i want to announce it the week of Valentine's Day which would be 10 weeks for me. Good idea or no?

We'll be announcing between 10-12 weeks, but telling immediate family like our parents and siblings within the next week just so incase I miscarry, i have a large support system.

My mentality has been that I just want to share our good news with people who we would also want by our side if we were to lose the baby, too. So we're only telling our parents and closest friends for now. But I am already dying to tell everyone, ah!

We plan on telling the end of February! My husband is over seas and should be back by then! And that just happens to be the end of our first trimester. But I've told my parents and my best friend so I have support while the hubs is away.

I announced it right away to everyone. It made it so much easier when I did lose it that everyone knew to be careful around me. 
I would definitely tell everyone then!! You're pretty close to out of the woods at 10 weeks 😊

My hubby and I have our first dr. appointment February 13th. They estimated that we should be between 8-10 weeks. We plan to tell our immediate family the following day on Valentine's Day, both set of parents and siblings. We told them with our last pregnancy right away and that ended up miscarrying so I want to wait at least until the first appointment this time. The appointment will at least give me a little more peace of mind.

But do what you feel is best and what you are most comfortable with. There is no right or wrong time - that is your decision.

This is my first pregnancy and I told my closest friends (who all have kids) and a few close family members. It was more people than I intended to tell (I'm only 5 weeks), but I have lots of questions and freak out about something or another every hour. I need my mom and other people to talk to. And if I were to miscarry (knock on wood) these friends and family are my support system and who I would turn too ANYways. Once we hit 12 weeks, we will tell everyone else and probably announce on FB. But I don't feel bad for telling all the people that I did. I told my bf the same thing, that he could tell whoever he wanted so that he could have people to talk to.

I mean, I'm scared as hell and I don't wanna be alone. Now I have a list of people I can call in the middle of the night if need be, lol.

We have told only a couple of close friends and my mother in law. We won't be announcing to any other family/close friends until 12 weeks and never plan to formally announce to anyone else. They'll all figure it out eventually 😂

We will tell everybody after 12 weeks ultrasound. We bougth a dress on our 4 year old daugther and on it stands " I will be a big sister" 😊
