Anyone thinking about having/have a midwife at all?

I have a midwife now but unfortunately if she isn't there during delivery I may get stuck with an OB because we chose an in network birth center.

I would absolutely LOVE to (I'm training to be a birth doula myself) but unfortunately I'm on my 9th high risk pregnancy and no one will deliver me outside of a hospital 😫 everyone I have spoken to has offered to stay with me through the pregnancy but won't touch me with a 10 ft pole towards the third trimester and delivery

My hospital has 4 midwives.  So I see them all for prenatal visits because whoever is on call gets to catch the baby!

My doctor is a midwife but I'm not counting on her delivering me cus of how I delivered with my first! My doc wasn't on call and it was the weekend.

It's my first pregnancy and I was recommended to have a midwife. So far so good! They are very attentive and caring, not like the docs office fast paced and where you feel like a number..

Yes, I will only use midwives for my pregnancy/births. But u have to say not all midwives are the same. I am going a half hour away because I don't like the midwives where I live. To hospital happy.

Yes! I see a group of midwives and whoever is on shift will be when I go into labor will be delivering my baby... so i try to see all the midwives at my appointments so I get to know all of them. This is my 2nd baby and I had the same experience with my first. I just didn't feel the need to see a doctor. When i was in labor my 1st time my baby needed flipped so my midwife called a doctor for backup and then she left after I was progressing. Had a great birth and the midwives give a lot better care than a doctor in my experience.

I am using a midwife :)  partially because my insurance doesn't cover pregnancy so I have to pay out of pocket anyway, partially because the idea of a hospital birth is absolutely repulsive to me
