First timer on clomid

Hey everyone! I just finished my last clomid pill yesterday (I took it days 5-9). When do I start to use opks? I don't want to miss anything. Also, how did you know if it worked for you? I had really bad hot flashes/night sweats and I would be crying one minute and then laughing the other. Those were my only side effects. Thank you!
