When is a good time to start potty training your toddler.

My son will be one in a few days and I know it's to early to start potty training. Just wondering what your ladies thought are on the subject are. I hear around 18 months.

Depends on the child. I have 4 living children. I always introduced them to the potty around 18 months. I don't start attempting to potty train until right after they turn 2. With that said, our 4th was very interested in potty training around 20 months, so I ran with it. But at 18 months when I introduced him to the toilet he was terrified lol. He was the only one who was fully potty trained before 2. It took a couple of days and he was out of diapers. Within a month he didn't need them for bedtime or naps.

My friend has a little guy who is a little bit older than my 2 year old, her little guy 2 1/2 at the moment and has zero interest in the potty.

My brothers 3 year old has no interest in potty training.

So I say, introduce your kid around 18 months and go from there 😊

My first turned 3 in oct and he was fully potty trained right after! I introduced it when he turned 1 but i didn't force it till he showed signs

When they seem ready and interested. We bought a kid potty to leave in the bathroom around 18 months and when my kids would sit on it showed me they were ready. My son was fully potty trained by almost 2 and my daughter shortly after 2. Every kiddo varies though!

We started before ours turned three. He pretty much had it the month that he turned three years old. He wore diapers overnight for awhile though. At five years old, very rarely does he wet the bed at night. He can get up and go in the middle of the night. It's definitely a process so don't feel pressured. It will happen.

I did it when my son said the word potty. I think he was almost 2. I bought a potty seat, but didn't force him. When he said potty, I'd put him on it. He was 3 when he was fully potty trained. Some daycares require children to be potty trained by enrollment.

With my first I started really early like 18 months but he just wasn't ready and it just ended up making it harder to potty train. Wait until they start ripping off their diaper. Don't put a lot of pressure on them or it will becoming frustrating for them.
