Diet change - period worsens
I have recently started this "cellular cleanse" where you basically are eating a vegan diet as well as not being able
to eat gluten. This is my first time doing anything of the sort and I have stuck to it pretty well. I started January 1st and just got my period. My period cramps normally only last the first day and they're never too bad, and my flow is only heavy-ish on the first day. I normally only use one super sized tampon at the very beginning (1st day) and regular is fine the rest of the cycle. But this time around, I woke up with the worst cramps of my life, I took midol but still had to get out of bed and physically walk around and bend over to get any sort of relief. My period flow is extremely heavy seeping through my super tampon on my 2nd day which is extremely abnormal for me. I thought going vegan would help my period? Anything similar happen to anyone? My body may just need to adjust. I'm just confused as to how my menstrual cycle could react so badly when I'm eating only healthy foods. If anyone could help me understand wtfs going on that would be great
