How long did your induction take?

They're going to put that medicine inside of me that "ripens my cervix" (I can't remember the name). My doctor said that could take 12 hours to go into effect. How long did it take for you? I'm only 1cm and barely softened.

I got it at 9 :30 contractions starred  at 2pm 3cm now started pitocin at 3:15 contractions about 2 3 min apart ...

I just gave birth and was induced. I started at 1.5 cm and thick. We arrived at the hospital at 5 in the evening. They put the cervix ripener at 7. They left it in 12 hours and then checked me. I hadn't made much progress at all, so then the gave me a pill that does the same thing and checked me in 4 hours. I had dilated to 2.5 and was a little soft. My doctor started me on pitocin at 2 that afternoon. At 7 pm my doctor broke my water. Then I got the epidural. I had my baby at 2:09 in the morning vaginally.

How far along are you? I'm 39+4 and my doctor cancelled my induction and I'm really upset. He had "too many deliveries" that day so we're trying again Tuesday. My sister had a baby last week, was induced with the same medicine you're getting at 39+6 at 5:00 pm Thursday evening and her water didn't break until 9:00 am Saturday morning. Baby was born at 8:16 pm on Saturday.

I got the cervidil at 4:15pm Sunday. When I started I was 1 cm and cervix was high. Started having contractions an hour later. I was fully diliated by 5am and he was out by 6:28am Monday. Good luck!!

I got mine started at 4pm.  They did the next dose at 8pm.  By 11pm my water broke and she was born at 6am.
