If your spouse was a vegetarian would you expect her or him to cook meat for you?

If your spouse was a vegetarian would you expect him or her to cook meals with meat in them for you (if they cooked a meal in the first place)? Just curious to see how people would respond ! My husband doesn't expect it at all but I'm perfectly fine if he makes it for himself.

I don't EXPECT shit from my spouse. Now just because he is vegetarian doesn't mean he can't cook meat if that's what he wishes to do.

Not at all. Especially if it were something they were uncomfortable with. I wouldn't ask that of them.

My aunt is vegetarian but her husband is not and he cooks his own meat when they make dinner, and they always make dinner together, she does all the non-meat stuff and then he cooks all the meat stuff. But they also eat out a lot or get take out for home more than they cook dinner. They usually just cook for themselves too not the other person and it works for them.

It depends on the reason. Like I stopped eating pork a few yrs ago because it was making my periods worse. But I still loved it. And dont have a problem touching it or smelling it lol so I'd still cook bacon or something for my man.

But if they're a vegetarian because they dont agree with animals being killed for food, or because they consider it dirty or whatever,  I wouldnt expect them to

I'm a vegetarian (9.5years now). He doesn't expect me to cook meat for him but l plan to occassionally.

I make stuff for my husband that I don't personally eat (for example, pork)-- he likes it & that's fine. I don't see why the vegetarian label matters. In my opinion, spouses should be okay preparing foods they don't eat for one another. I have a vegan friend who cooks meat for her SO a couple times a week.

Definitely not! I have celiac disease so everything we eat has to be gluten free...if my hubby decided to be a vegetarian I would be just as supportive of him as he has been of me! 😊

I wouldn't expect an extra step (or steps) for my meal unless it was a specific request or need.
