Cold Medicine??

Question

I'm only 4w 4d but I know some doctors say to stray away from certain cold mecications. My Doctors office is closed for the weekend and I woke up with a horrible cold. Anyone know what is safe to take?

I would google. My doctor told me only regular Robitussin (not DM or extra strength) and it did absolutely nothing for me. Maybe helped me cough less for a few hours. I felt guilty for taking it and stopped after a few days and let my cold pass naturally.
