when to test

I went off the pill in December and got a solid smiley on opk last Wednesday Jan 4. We BDed day of and after.  If I was still on the pill, my VERY regular period would have come Wednesday-I had slight spotting and cramping today but nothing else (10 days post ov). Would you consider me late for AF? Should I test? Or wait and see if she's late only because of coming off the pill?

Wait to test about 4 more days, hopefully the cramping you felt was implantation which happens 6-12 dpo. Good luck!

I was 4 days late last month (got off the pill in late November). My cycle when off the pill is 31 days in average. So my first cycle of the pill was 35 days (with some strange bright red bleeding that would only come out during BD -- a week or so before AF). This month I decided to try opk and I ovulated earlier than the expected. So definitely not quite regular yet. All we can do is hope for the best. I've seen women get off the pill and get preggo on their first cycle. And other women won't for years. So it really depends. I would wait until you're at least 12dpo to test. But some women get bfp as early as 7dpo.  other women won't show a positive until 8-9 weeks. Crazy! It all depends on the hcg levels... good luck to you and baby dust!!

It was 6 weeks before I had a period coming off the pill, but everyone is different. You can test but hard to know if it would be accurate
