Teen kidnapped at birth is reunited with biological parents
A young woman from South Carolina recenly learned that the only mother she's ever known actually kidnapped her from the hospital when she was only 8 hours old. She was kidnapped from Florida and then raised in a loving family in SC for 18 years before police identified her and arrested her "mother".
She has now been reunited with her biological family and the woman who raised her is being charged for kidnapping.
My question is this, what should be done now? Or perhaps, what would you do? This young woman loves the woman who raised her as a mother and her biological family is full of strangers. How does one process this crazy situation? Is it ethical to now separate her from the woman she loves as her mother and force her to bond with her strange biological family?
