Pineapple inducing labor?

Loading up on pineapple...I hear it may help naturally induce labor. Anyone else have any tips? I know the baby will come when he's ready, so please no judgement.

Ive had some complications due to prior kidney issues and I'm very uncomfortable at 37 weeks. my doctor said I'm really more like 38 weeks according to second trimester measurements. According to sonogram last week baby was estimated to be around 6 lbs. 14 oz....ready for him to make his arrival! Good luck to the rest of you mamas!

Has to be fresh pineapple. It doesn't help you go into labor, it actually helps ripen/thin your cervix.

I have tried fresh pineapple and the core as well but it didn't work! Everyone's body is different tho so don't get discouraged! I'm 37 weeks and 3 days and I'm ready to have this baby 😩😩 my hubs brought home organic raspberry leaf tea! It's suppose to help! I read good stories about this! I have drank 6 cups since 330pm! You'd have to eat a tonne of pineapples for it to work. When you are overdue it is all about encouraging the oxytocin hormone to be released. The love hormone. This encourages labour. So even just by deeply relaxing and letting go can help. But sex is also awesome, or an orgasm.

There are loads of myths but also lots of studies with evidence in various things to induce labour. Pineapple contains an enzyme which can induce labour but you would have to eat so many that it would not be pleasant.

I did this and it made my stomach hurt so bad like I had to do a #2.... but yes eat the core that's what is supposed to help bring on labor but it didn't work for me.... good luck

It doesn't help induce just helps an already in labor lady to efface more with more productive contractions. No harm in eating thema little to help this tho.
