I find it crazy.

When my daughter starts to cry all of a sudden it can be for a couple of reasons. Either she has a wet/dirty diaper, she's hungry or she wants me to just hold her. Many times all I have to do is place my hand on her and let her know I am still there and back to sleep she goes, every so often she'll crack a little smile which must be because she's passing gas haha. One thing I have realized is how important it is for them to know that their mother is still there. They require so much attention and comfort. Other times, all I have to say is "is okay honey" and she'll calm down. Today while we were at the mall, i usually put a blanket over the stroller to dim the light a bit. I heard her cry and when I saw her she was breathing pretty heavy. I freaked out and talked to her and as soon as she heard my voice and saw me, she went back to normal and smiled. My daughter is only 6 weeks, I know around this time they smile when they pass gas but I like to believe she smiled because she saw me. Your baby loves you as much as you love them. They know your voice, know how you look, they know how you smell and that to me is amazing. Before I became pregnant I said I wanted no kids. I honestly didn't even have patience with kids, let alone a baby that's why I never got close to them. I was only able to be around a baby for about 5 minutes the most before handing it over to its mother .... everyone told me once I had my own kid, I would change. And guess what? I did. My daughter means the world to me, it's crazy how such a tiny human being can bring so much joy. Through sleepless nights, crying all the time, being fussy, spitting on your favorite shirt, peeing on you or on your furniture because you didn't put the next diaper fast enough ... I wouldn't change any of that.
