Extreme acne help?

Question

I've had horrible acne since I was like....11. 3 years before I even got my first period. Now I'm 8 weeks ish pregnant and I feel absolutely hideous and disgusting. I don't know how anyone can stand to look at my pizza face.

I'm miserable. I want to look nice but instead I sit at home in my sweats because I'm too ashamed to leave the house.

What do you ladies do for acne?
I went to a dermatologist in high school and she couldn't get rid of it no matter what she tried, and most antibiotics made it worse.

I have been using Clearasil Dailey and I have also been drinking like 10 glasses of water a day 
It seems to be helping the dryness it's. Been a few weeks so I am Hopi g it wil clear everything up

I feel your pain! I struggled with acne as a teenager, and even quite a bit as an adult.  Several things that helped me...

1. I actually used Proactive for awhile. The face wash is SO gritty though, I could only use it once a week. I know they came out with a new sensitive line, maybe worth looking into?  I did, however, like their toner and on the spot treatment.

2. As an adult, I've learned less is truly more. I use face wipes, or makeup remover wipes EVERY night (neutrogena, Bert's bees, Say Yes To cucumber/tomatoes/blue berries, Aveeno). And then I use an exfoliater wash once or twice a week. Right now I switch between Biore charcoal scrub and St. Ives blackhead clearing facial scrub. Try going to Target and buying travel sizes of both, see what works for you before you commit to buying the larger bottle. I know what it's like spending all this money on products you can't even use.

3. Burt's bees on the spot treatment. It's a little glass roll-on, and it works WONDERS!!! It's a bit pricey, $8/$9 for the little container, and I go through it once a month -- sometimes faster. I apply it every night, and when I don't have anywhere to be, I use it in the morning as well and go makeup free for the day.

4. Lastly, Rose Water.  It's an oil you spray on your face -- counter intuitive, I know! But it's amazing! My mom's skin has never looked better (she deals with acne, eczema, and ridiculously sensitive skin). I saw an article online about it and forwarded it to her.  I'll be buying it online as well 😊.  Also, it's only like $8 for a pretty big bottle to last you months!

Check out double cleansing and oil
Cleansing methods. Check out essential oils (lavender and geranium did WONDERS for my horrible acne). Most people reaction with acne is to try and "dry it out" but this is absolutely the worst thing you can do. It only throws your skin more out of balance. When I wash my face, I massage an oil blend onto it, then take a wash cloth and run it under very warm water. Then lay the cloth across my face. It's like a mini steam
Facial. Wipe all the oil off and then wash with my face wash. I make my own wash with rhassoul and French green clay (they soak up excess oil without drying out your skin), a splash of apple cider vinegar and honey, some lavender water, and some witch hazel. I mix a couple days worth at a time in a bowl so it doesn't go bad. Then moisturizer after. Also, take a look at your diet. You might have triggers there that could be making things worse. (Diet plays a bigger role then people realize.) and lastly, remember that sometimes acne just happens. As much as I've improved my face, I still get breakouts. Our hormones are constantly fluctuating (part of being a woman) and sometimes this can effect us as acne unfortunately.

I've had the same issue. I'm at 14 weeks now and my face has finally cleared up for the most part for the first time since I was about 15. Give it time.
I use African black soap morning and night, Murad acne cleanser at night after the African black soap, then put tea tree oil all over my face and moisturize. It's helped a ton. 
Try to avoid touching your face as much as possible too.

doctors never helped my acne, the only thing that actually helped was birth control. but recently I've had really really good skin because I've been taking super good care of it. so here are my suggestions:
-try to cut back on dairy/animal products
-use facial washes that are gentle (i.e., no sulfurs, no fragrance, no harsh ingredients)
-use the double cleansing method (wash, rinse, repeat) this is a life saver if you don't do this already!
-use an alcohol free toner (witch hazel works too)
-natural oils for moisturizing. the key is to use the right amount, otherwise you can easily clog your pores and cause more breakouts. I use a combo of coconut oil and rosehip oil but you can research what oils are best for your skin type (avocado oil is another amazing one)
-obviously drink loads of water and eat fruits and veggies :) hope this helped!
