Who's still breastfeeding September babies?

I'm having such a hard time weaning my son for bedtime :(

I just started weaning my almost 16 mo old this past Sunday. He has nursed to sleep every night since he was born and for naps to. So I've been dreading it but I'm 5 months pregnant and not making much milk anymore and could use a break for a few months.

So my tip is to use band aids lol. One on each nipple and show them that they're gone every time they want it. The first night he cried 45 mins laying beside of me in bed. And woke 3 times crying but stopped once I put my arms around him. 2nd and 3rd nights no crying at all just falls asleep laying beside of me now and only woke up once last night. I was so shocked the second night when he slept all night til 830am. It's definitely going better than I thought u just have to get through day 1. Once he falls asleep he just rolls away into his toddler bed beside of ours. Good luck.

I breastfed until our boy was 13 months and I planned on making it to like 18 months but then I got pregnant again! My boobs got too sensitive to keep going and I totally cried because I was so sad for having to stop early and he wasn't too thrilled either. But I just slowed down and only breastfed him once a day for bedtime and then eventually replaced that feeding with organic cows milk and he didn't seem to mind.

I am also still nursing! I mostly dried up when I got pregnant but my little guy dry nursed happily 🙄 (supplemented with goat milk too) and now that his baby brother is born and my milk is back he is back to nursing like a newborn!!

I dried up when I got pregnant we made it 13 months. I was so very sad, we had to switch to toddler formula for bedtime.
