When to ask for a sweep?

I'm 39+2 and have an appointment today. I've been 1-2cm for 3 weeks: if I haven't progressed, should I ask about a sweep to get things going?

I had one at 39 weeks because at 37 weeks my baby was measuring over 9 pounds. Getting another on today at 39+4. Usually I don't think they like to do it until you're overdue.

I asked for one at 38+6, so my doctor did it. It didn't work. Then at 39+6 the doctor offered another, so I had another one. They aren't super pleasant. Hope it is successful for you! I'm pretty sure they are going to have to cut this kid out of me.

I got one at 38w4d and didn't do nothing for me. I stayed at2cm &50%. But it might work for you sense your further now

I'm 39weeks today and just had a sweep. I was almost 2cm. The Dr said my cervix was still pretty high but she tried anyways. But of your wanting one just ask. They should do it now.

Mine told me she wouldn't do one until 39 weeks, at my 39 week appt she did one, and she's doing another this week at my 40 week

I would if I were you! I was going to get mine done at my 39 week appointment, but I went into labor on my own a couple days before. It's worth a shot :)
