crib bumpers?

Anyone use bumpers on baby's crib? I was told not to, that nothing is allowed in crib with baby, but she rolls around so much she hits her head on crib and it wakes her up multiple times a night. Any ideas?

We've used the breathable mesh ones since she transferred to her crib at 3 months. At this age they good head control and can move around.

The breathable mesh ones are safe, as far as I know. That's the kind I have. I use it mainly to keep pacifiers contained and feet from getting stuck. I've never seen her with her face against it, but she could breathe even if she did.

I use a mesh crib liner, it keeps feet and pacifiers in the crib. I think it suggests removing when they can sit up, but I've left mine on. Now I have an opening on one side of the crib so she can see out if she wants to.

I gave in and started using it this month for the exact same reason.   He tends to move himself into the left corner and would always bump himself and wake up.

I have the mesh bumpers, but I'm considering getting regular bumpers since my daughter rolls all around and hits her head and wakes herself up. I was considering trying them out for nap time while I'm awake and possibly removing them for bedtime depending on how It went. I just don't want to worry at night while I sleep cuz I'm a worry wart! Lol

I have bumpers in my crib and some stuffed animals. We placed the stuffed animals in the corners of his crib. Never had any problems.

I've had a bumper in there since the day he was born. He kicks the sides so often and rolls into the sides when he's playing, I don't want him to hurt himself. I check before bed and anytime I wake up where he is in the crib to make sure he's not against the side.
