VBAC pros/cons?

Question

Has anyone had a VBAC? My dr told me I was a good candidate despite being high risk. All the risks he said  for having one kind of scared me tho lol! What were your pros//cons to each way, I'd love to hear some first hand experiences!! TIA!

I'm choosing to not do one. My dr gave me the choice but also said he leans more towards recommending against vbacs. His analogy was that if you were going on a plane and someone told you that it had a 1 in 200 chance of crashing would you still get on it? Hell no! Even with today's technology and knowledge, there are still big risks associated with it. I did the whole labour thing the first time around and would rather just be safe this time around. I've known several ladies who had successful vbacs. Drs will give you the scary stats first because that's what they have to do now days. Drs would much rather cut then go natural. 
My SIL had a very successful vbac. First labor was 36 hours and a csection so she was nervous but second time was 8 hours without issues. She drank red raspberry leaf tea to strengthen her uterus and she walked in beginning of labor and held off on the epidural longer which gave gravity a chance. 
With each successful vbac you have makes the next one that much easier too.

I had my son via vbac 5 days ago, and let me tell you,  it's the best decision i could've ever made. The healing process is the opposite of a c-section for 1, the experience of pushing your baby out is worth every bit of pain, the fact that they let you do skin to skin with baby is amazing.. i mean, the list goes on and on! let's not forget, being able to hold your baby as soon as he or she is born, being able to walk and sit up is awesome.. as far as cons i guess would be to be in labor for such a long time (27.5 hrs!)and i guess tearing (3rd degree btw), other than that my experience with vbac has been nothing but positive thank God. I've had 2 VBAC's babies all progressed through fine the last one was even 9lbs 4oz. I elected for repeat c section out of fear but my children had other plans.
