Just saw this on Facebook. My husband and I put 60% of our check in an joint account and that pays for the bills and household expenses. How do y'all split expenses?

We have a full join account, both our paychecks go in and we pay all the bills from there. Although get makes more than me, we are a family and are working towards the same goals (mortgage, cars, lifestyle etc) so it doesn't matter who's money is who's. I told him that I didn't want to feel like roommates splitting the utilities etc, we are a team.

We have separate accounts.  We split household bills 50 50. We discuss purchases.  What I do with my money is business outside of that and vice versa. We met when we were older and established so it is absolutely mine and his not ours.

Since we are a military family my husband's bah covers rent,water elect. He pays his truck payment and motorcycle payments and also pays for insurance on those and my car. I pay the cable bill and buy household needs and buy the groceries. Sometimes if my checks are short we split the grocery bill half and half. I work full time and also pregnant so I have been the one to buy all baby things we will need,so far baaaby is set and has everything he will need. After I have the baby I'll be a SAHM for a year with the baby then things will get a little harder but a manage. We aren't broke but aren't rich either. Bills are paid ans we have what we need.

We have separate accounts with separate savings. He makes a lot more than me so pays everything except utilities and I'll help with groceries. We don't need my income but I can't just sit at home. When we get pregnant we are opening an account for the baby.
