Tube tie or vasectomy? Who should go through the trouble?

So you and your partner are sure you guys don't want kids anymore, who will undergo the procedure? I know there are special circumstances such as medical conditions, and the best solution is talking it out and deciding what's best for your relationship, but generally who do you think should go through the trouble?

I think the guy because women already have to deal with child birth.Your thoughts?

A vasectomy is a much simpler procedure than having your tubes tied. Unless a woman is having a c section and the dr can tie the tubes at the same time, I think the man should have the procedure.

I believe a vasectomy is an out patient procedure and getting your tubes tied is an in patient.

I would definitely suggest my partner getting a vasectomy over me getting my tubes tied. The reason being, if we did want to have children again later or we split and wanted children with our new partners, vasectomies are reversible where as getting your tubes tied isn't.

The after affects of a tubal ligation can be harsh. Vasectomy is snip snip and done.

It would be me to get it done.My reason is I have had 2 c-sections already and ttc for baby #3 this summer and I feel 3 c-sections is quite enough for my body.

The link between colon cancer hasn't been fully proven but the male is way more likely be at risk for cancer with a vasectomy.

When that time comes for us it will be me. I have heard it is a lot easier for guys to get "fixed" then woman, but my husband has has factor 5 and one other blood disorder. So we tried to avoid surges when ever possible with him.
