baby sleeping in his own room?
I know the AAP recently came out saying the recommend the baby sleep in the parents room for the first year.
My husband and I had always planned on our baby sleeping in his own crib, in his own room. But after reading this statement by the AAP I was concerned that this was not the best thing for our baby.
We are being treated and delivering at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia due to our baby's medical condition. We're being seen by some of the best doctors in the world, let alone the US.
I brought my concern up to my dcotor, and asked if we should get a co-sleeper. She said ABSOLUTELY not. They recommend the baby sleep in his/her own room for a number of reasons. We went over all of the reasons, which made a lot of sense to my husband and I, and we feel a lot better about our baby being in his own room once we go home.
I'm just curious if I'm alone. It seems like most women on here plan on their baby sleeping in their room with them. I'm wondering if any moms on here had they baby sleeping in their own crib?
