Is having sex using JUST a condom safe enough?

I personally can't use anything but external birth control (no pills, implants, etc. for me!). My husband and I just use condoms. After each time we have sex, we fill the condom with water and squeeze lightly to see if any water comes out (if it did - that would show there's a hole). If, God forbid, that happened, we would pick up some Plan B. Avoiding sex when you're ovulating is also a great idea. Overall: yes, it makes sense to use more BC if you can. But not everyone can, and those of us that don't just have to be a little extra careful!

Theres a lot of room for error with condoms,  but if u use them correctly they are pretty safe. Its the only birth contol we use. Just make sure to have yiur guy wear it from beginning to end. Make sure it fits. Make sure to secure the condom when pulling out for any reason. Dont double up, check for punctures.

If you don't want to get pregnant I would advise on using another type of birth control such as the implant or the pill, so you are more safe. There is every chance the condom could break. Have happy and safe sex!

If you use condoms along with tracking your fertility and avoiding sex or being extra extra careful on the day you ovulate/a few days before, you'll be good!
My husband and I just use fertility-awareness based methods, and no artificial contraceptives, not even condoms. He finishes in me all the time, just not when I know I'm fertile. It's super easy once you know how to track your ovulation!

I wouldn't rely just on the condom because they break and they don't feel great.. Sure there are other BC that are susceptible to human error such as the pill but with condoms, yeah you can use them perfectly but you can't control if it breaks or not.
