My grandmother's name was Sonia. She passed away young and so many people in my family named their daughters Sonia. It's a beautiful name that I would have loved to use but too many in my fam :( I'm hispanic lol. I'd say if you love it then use it. I don't think it sound "too Hispanic"

I have never associated Sonya with any particular race. The only Sonyas I've met (I can only think of 2) were not Hispanic. I think you're totally fine.

Ok thanks you. I know it was a silly question, I was just worried because I live a heavily Hispanic community (the whole city to be honest- we have the nickname "Northern Mexico". Since moving here I have had to learn Spanish because my city of over 500,000 people is almost 40% Hispanic- not complaining though I love all the Mexican restaurant choices LOL) and people already think Izadora is Hispanic and I don't know why that is. It's actually Greek lol. I just don't want to look the the crazy white woman naming her child a Spanish name. 😅😁 thanks again ❤️

Ugh, I could gag. Sonya is more European to me, Izadora sounds a lot more Spanish... just saying. -sincerely,  The Spanish girl reading between the lines here. 🙄
