food suggestion for eight-month-old

My son turned eight-month-old on 9th of January. He has two teeth and a few more coming through, he climbs stairs and crawls and has been eating stage two baby food. Of course he is still on the formula A few or more times a day but nothing else. I'm afraid to give him other foods with only two teeth. What is safe to start out trying? What do you suggest? Sometimes I feel like he's just not full. Yes I've done rice cereal in bottles as well yes still waking up in the middle the night because he's hungry. Thanks!!
