Anybody in a interracial or intercultural relationship?

Question

I'm glad to say that I'm in both interracial and intercultural relationship. Being that I'm agnostic but raised catholic, white female and my boyfriend is also agnostic but raised Muslim, Pakistani male, I can see where some difficulties that come up. Anybody else is in a similar situation? How did you get through them? If you haven't found any problems, feel free to say what kind of interracial/intercultural relationship you are in!

My boyfriends black and I'm white. Today we went to the store with his little brother whose 4 and has slightly lighter skin then my boyfriend because he's so young, and this older white lady was looking at us and then came to tell us how beautiful his little brother is thinking it was our child. 😂 It's funny when it happens but I swear every time I have no idea what to say.

im not in a intercultural relationship but i think it is so beautiful because love is love , it amazes me how people leave all the pettiness of differences and can actually be together!

A little bit? I'm white, and my husband is mixed race. It's interesting to see how many comments people make. I had a cousin remark that my kids were going to be Asian, in the same tone one would use to point out an oozing sore on your face. Another time this man who was a customer at a store I worked at was chatting and friendly with me, and when he found out I was married to someone that was part Korean and Hawaiian, he looked like I told him I liked to drown puppies as a hobby. 98% of the time though people are just amused/confused at the white lady with a Korean last name. His family is so amazing - I've been blessed with the best in-laws a woman could ask for!

With my situation being that I was raised in a Catholic home, my mother tends to have a conservative way of thinking. When she heard that I was dating a guy that was raised Muslim, she felt that he will either eventually stop his rebellion with his parents and leave me for a Muslim girl or become controlling towards me because he was brought up in a male domineering household. Hopefully she is wrong.

I'm a Thai-American girl and my boyfriend is from Afghanistan! I've still got a lot of uncharted waters to tread (religion, children, commitment) but I've had a happy first year and am enjoying our second! I even feel like recently we've been more intimate than usual. ☺️💕

But it's not all rainbows! Sometimes our mannerisms and jokes are misunderstood and we rub each other the wrong way by accident. There's a small communication barrier. But we always solve it and I love him so much.

Yuuup. My parents are from Dutch Guyana, Im hella light skin but we all can tell there's African there and his parents are straight from the country type south and he's also Caucasian. But his family, mine, and both of our friend groups swear we're the cutest couple. I used to worry that his grandfather who is also a preacher would have been hella low key racist at first tbh as shitty as it sounds, but thank god he wasn't.
