kombucha tea during pregnancy?

I was wondering if anybody has or is drinking kombucha tea during their past pregnancy or current pregnancy. Did some research and I've been getting just general info. I asked my doctor and she doesn't know anything about kombucha. I was hoping i could get someone who could tell me something from personal experience. Thanks.

I have had it. I read that it was okay if you were already drinking it before you got pregnant. I maybe have 1 every week or two - helps my digestion!

I have wondered the same thing. Some people think it's bad, some people think it's good, so idk. In my opinion the cons of kombucha would be:
1. Very small amounts of alcohol
2. It's made with caffeinated tea, but I don't think it has very much (or maybe any?) after the fermentation process. 
3. Kombucha is kind of a 'detox' and detoxes should be avoided during pregnancy. 
And I think that the pros of kombucha would be that it is insanely good for your gut health and it gives you good probiotics. 
With all that said, I drink about 6 ounces of kombucha daily, so I would just do what you feel. I don't think a pregnant lady should drink a ton of it, but I don't think it's bad in small doses. Just my opinion though.

I read it isn't recommended because of the way it's made with bacteria cultures but the post reminded me of this station in a new grocery store that just opened!

I drank it during my first trimester, it helped me with morning sickness. At some point it became gross to me, though. I've heard it's not recommended, but I've also read its fine. So who knows.
