What symptoms did you have that made you get a lap/ suspect endo?

My periods were never painful or heavy, which is why I never suspected my symptoms to be endo until I read that endo mimics symptoms of IBS, which I kept being "diagnosed" with. I am currently pregnant and no longer have pain. But my endo pain would basically be all cycle long. Extreme bloating, rectal bleeding, terrible abdominal pain, pain during sex. When I met with a specialist and told him of my symptoms right away he was 99% certain I had endo. After 18 years of symptoms, I was finally diagnosed with stage 2 endo by lap surgery and had excision performed.

I've always had severely painful periods.... Since my very first one at 13. I've gone to tons of doctors and told them something wasn't right. Never once did they even look into it. Low pain tolerance is what I was told. Fast forward 13 years... Start passing out from the pain. My doctor finally does an ultrasound, found a cyst, surgery 2 weeks later, discovered I had stage 3 endo. Shocking. About time I was finally diagnosed.

My mother had it, so I suspected it for some time. I have bad cramps and sometimes during sex if it's at a certain angle it can feel tender. However, I wasn't concerned. I got pregnant in January and had a missed miscarriage (but they originally thought it was ectopic) and had to have the methotrexate shot + surgery and during surgery they found the endo. They didn't remove it and my obgyn said it is mild so they aren't going to mess with it.

I also couldn't get pregnant. I had a lap and the next full cycle after found out I'm pregnant. This was definitely worth it for me.

Pain, dizziness, bloating (triggered by dairy and gluten). I didn't go to the doctor until I started bleeding during sex between periods.

Heavy periods also run in the family so I assumed this was normal too.
