first deployment??

Me and my boyfriend Oliver have been together just about a year now. And I swear on my life I have never loved anyone more. This man is the sweetest and most caring person I have ever met. I say man because he supports me when he doesn't have to. He's only 19, but he bought all my college text books even though he could've used that money for other things and I can't get a job. He makes sure I eat, and take my medication, and makes sure I sleep. He's the definition of amazing. He's my rock. Now he's going to be deployed for 8 months and I'm not sure what to do with myself. He promised he'll email, and I know he will. But it's not the same....just to add onto how amazing he is, he made me videos to watch while he's gone! The sound of his voice soothes me, so there's that. But day to day...what do I do. How do I handle missing him so much? What kind of things should I send in care packages so he knows I'm thinking of him?
