Is there a birth control method that stops your period ?!? I already have one child so I want to get on birth control also I don't want to have period anymore my periods are very bad for me !! If you know a birth control that's stops or lightens periods please let me know ladies

You can get on birth control pills that have norethindrone in it (like the mini pill). That hormone will eventually stop your period, or it will come once in a while but just give you spotting. I'm not on it, but I know a few people that are and they have this experience.

Mirena will lighten it for sure. For me it stopped mine after about 7 months

You can take birth control constantly, skipping the placebo week, and not get a period. I did that for years to slow the progression of endometriosis (at the direction of my dr)

I had Mirena for 5 years I didn't get my period at all after about 3/4 months for the whole time and it came right back normal after it was removed

Im on depo and i had my period for a week after the first shot but its just bleeding i didnt get cramps or any other symptom. And after the second shot i never got it again

I have used almost every type of bc. All stopped my periods the whole time. 
 I had too many side effects with pills (made me psycho) and the depo made me gain weight like crazy (used 3 years) I cramped out the IUD within 1 month (but I have been told that if you have already had a kid you have a better experience with them) I liked the Nuva ring (used 1 year) but even with insurance it cost me $100/mo. But my favorite was the implanon (arm implant). I had it 3 years took it out 3 months ago and now ttc.
