same name?

So the only boy name my fiancé and I can agree on and like is Henry. But my friend who is a few years younger than me and not pregnant told me that's what she plans on naming her boy. Would it make me a horrible person to name him that too?

Henry is a VERY popular name where I live & has been for several years now. I say definitely use the name. It's so hard to decide on a name as it is. You can't make everyone happy by not using "their name". If she does have a baby boy in the future, she could still use the name if she wanted & I don't think anyone would think anything of it, especially if it maintains its popularity.

No that's not going to make you a horrible person. She's not pregnant, and there may be a chance she may never have a baby boy, so don't base your decision off of someone else's future plans.

Henry is our boy name pick. She's not even pregnant, and if and when she does get pregnant and it's a boy, she can name him Henry as well.

I know there is no Dib calling on names but she will free hurt that you took it. I'm naming my son spencer and my best friend is pregnant with a boy too and id be upset if she used it.
With that being said it's also a free country and you can name your baby Henry if you want to.

I think it's rather silly when people try to call dibs on names lol I say name your baby whatever you want. In the future, if she has a boy, it's up to her to decide if she wants to name it that still.
