Advise please,

I've been off and on the pill since December. So I haven't had my period since November. As well has I completely stopped taking the pill in the 11th of January , to begin trying to conceive. My fiancé and I have been having unprotected sex for years since I was in the pill. So anyway, I haven't been on the pill for just over a week. I still have not gotten my period even though I have cramps and maybe pms symptoms. Also, about a week ago I had a large amount of clear, stretchy, "egg-white" discharge. I've read that the type of discharge is usually a sign of ovulation. But anyway, so my question is, how long should I wait to take a pregnancy test? Also we have continued to have sex mostly everyday, or every other day since I stopped the pill. Thanks!
