How long has it been going on? 
I'm not sure if it's true but I read on Web MD that implantation bleeding only lasts about 2 days. 
I'm having a similar issue but I've been spotting for quite a while now. I don't normally spot when I get my period so I found this strange. And I've been having a few symptoms (nausea, fatigue, cramps, sensitive to certain smells) I'm just too scared to test because I don't want to get my hopes up. I've been spotting for about 17 days now. But of course it stops all together for a day or two and then comes right back. When I see it on the to mine looks like streaks of blood though instead of just one solid color. Don't know if any of this helped but baby dust to you!
