I had chlamydia...now what?
I went for my annual check up and I was tested positive for the STD Chlamydia. I took the antibiotic I was prescribed Levofloxacin (the generic of Lavaquin) for seven days. Told to take one a day for seven days with water and food. After compleating my antibiotic treatment I was told to wait another week just to make sure I was 100% clear.
My doc told me I wouldn't need to meet with her after three weeks because it would take care of it, however, so many people (doctors and patients) suggest a three week check up to get retested.
I believe my doc and I trust her but I guess I just want some reassurance...? I've never had an STD before so it was a huge and terrifying moment but I realized with research chlamydia was probably the greatest STD to get due to it's easy process of getting rid of it.
Idk I'm not planning on going out have having sex or anything I'm just looking for some more opinions/help insight please..thank you
