He's here!

Michael William, born at 4:53am on January 18th via cesarean section. 6lbs, 9oz. 20.5 

 Inches long. He is beautiful, bright, alert and such a snuggler. After 27 hours of induced labor (low amniotic fluid and 1.5 weeks overdue), it became apparent that my pelvis is abnormally shaped and was causing bruising and swelling  to his head. 😥 I was so scared but I proceeded with a c-section and his birth was the most terrifying and beautiful moment of my life. Recovery has been difficult but I am so grateful for my little boy and my amazingly supportive husband. Good luck, January mamas! If there's anything I have learned from my experience, it's that birth plans go out the window and ANYTHING can happen. Keep an open mind and remember that at the end of the day, the most important thing is that you and baby are both safe and sound in the end.
