I don't understand why some doctors diagnose women with pcos and tell them that they can't have kids???

I see some women say that the doctor diagnosed them with pcos and that they cant have kids. Why would they tell someone that they just diagnose with pcos that they can't have kids??? I thought you CAN have kids with pcos but it would just be a little harder?

I know LOTS of people with pcos who have kids. And both my mom, and her twin sister have pcos. Unfortunately, they passed it down to me and it SUCKS!! But I tell myself every day that my own existence is living proof that I will have a baby someday.

I know so many people who have PCOS and they all have kids! Both of my SILs have it. And one she was told at 15 she would never have kids. Well she went on a strict diet worked out lost a lot of weight and got pregnant, now has a 4 yr old son. And they've been trying again with no luck but she's quit her diet and exercise, and she was told that she won't be able to get pregnant again. Definitely makes it more difficult but not necessarily impossible.
