Raising a Bilingual Child
Though my child is young, I want Spanish to be her first language. I am fluent in Spanish, but was raised on English first. Though, I have a friend who teaches kindergarten who says it is very tough helping the kids who have Spanish as a first language, when they should've learned English first. Is there a way I can teach my daughter Spanish and English? Her father is almost 90% Hispanic and I am about 30%. I speak Spanish to her most of the time, and English a little bit of the time. I'm not looking to argue with anyone I just need some help.
