I was wanting opinions on when you think it would be a good time to let your child start watching TV. I always told myself that I would NEVER let my son (2 months) be like his cousins (5, 4, and 1), who, as soon as they see a phone or tablet, they launch for it and as soon as you take it away, they go completely ballistic. They play video games constantly, they love GTA which I think is just horrible for kids that age, it really has made them violent.. Always saying "I'm gonna shoot you in the head" or "I'm gonna punch you in the face!" No, my son will never be like that. I want him outside in nature. I want him reading and enjoying good music. I want him in sports. But when I need to clean the house and he's wide awake, it is nice to just prop him up on his Boppy on the couch and let him watch some PBS Kids. I know moderation is important, but I just want an opinion on when it would be a good age to let him start.
