If the ex is the parent of your child, then yes absolutely 100%. If not, then I don't see the point in staying friends

Ok, so here's a lil history.. So few months ago I left my husband because things got really bad, both of us feeling unloved, not wanted, not appreciated. So while I was gone we agreed to work on things and go back to counseling.

Well why I was gone I didn't seek any new relationship, didn't reach out to any ex's or someone if the opposite sex. I was just focusing on myself and my kids. I wa seeing if this is what I really wanted. But my husband on the other hand. Partied hard for 45 days. He befriended all his ex's, went on a date wth one, made all new social media pages, so that he wasn't bothered by me and could do what he wanted his words.. ok, I left so I can accept that. Mind you we have had trust issues, because of him..so of course I felt certain way when he would talk to the opposite sex, cuz he would only do it when we would fight. So it caused some insecurities. I forgave, moved on, still doesn't mean that I've forgot..

Ok fast forward to now. I'm back at home, we're going to counseling. Working on things, he still in communication with his ex's. It's made me feel super uncomfortable. He sees no wrong, says I'm trying to control him, becused ive asked him to stop. I'm back home now, what do they add or bring that's positive to our marriage? His response is that their his friends.. 🤔🤔🤔

Then he's added a new password on his phone which in the past we have both known both of each others password. But he tells me I don't need to know what he's doing or talking to. None of my business. So pls give me some positive insight.. because I'm feeling super hopeless! Thanks!

I'm civil with most of my exes, like if we ran into each other. Personally I have no reason to be friends with them though. Theres only one ex that I can't stand at all, he was creepy and controlling.

I would say if your spouse got along with them then sure.

It depends on a lot of things. Like the circumstances of those previous relationships, if the friendship is respectful, if your spouse is comfortable with it, if there are still any feelings at all...etc. I'm still friends with quite a few of my exes...but mostly ones from high school so they don't really count. I'm friends with my ex that I share kids with because it's what's best for our kids. My spouse tells me when things make him uncomfortable which has only happened once.

It depends. I have certain exes I don't talk to because it wouldn't be the best for my relationship. I do have one ex from my younger days that checks in sometimes, but we aren't best friends and we live states away so it's more of a quick hey, hope all is well, on Facebook. I don't think literally hanging out with exes is very healthy, though.

girl,  u already know what he is up to. It isnt goun to get better when he feels he can do what he wants. personally. i would befriend an ex too.
