asking to be induced?

I'm 39 weeks, I have an appointment on Monday, can I ask to be induced/schedule an induction for that week/preferably Friday (I'll be 39+6 then).

I'll be 40 weeks on Friday and my doc would like to induce on that day if he doesn't come. She doesn't like to keep in them longer and said that the placenta ages.

I asked my doc and she agreed! But she says she's pretty chill about inductions anywhere after 39weeks.

She however did say my cervix is high and closed and advices to wait a little longer if I can.

But I don't want to. Chinese New Years starts from Jan 27-31 and if I land in the hospital around then prices are double.

Most won't induce until 41, some 42 depending on what ur bishop score is.

My doctor said no. I'm 40.3 and I have an appointment Monday to see if they will but probably no. They won't unless it's medically necessary. My doctor said if your body isn't ready it's actually more harmful than helpful

I'm asking my doctor on Wednesday. I'll be 39 weeks Tuesday. Doesn't hurt to ask. Need a back up plan. So better you know your opinions.

As long as your 39 they can induce u n Medicaid will still pay for it. My Dr said before 39 medicaid won't. But my Dr will have to induce me Mon is my appointment n I'm 39 now but will have to induce me because my cervix is dialating but cervix is sealed shut. Had to be induced at 39+4 with my daughter for same problem. But it all depends on the Dr really. Good luck :)

Most doctors won't induce until 41 weeks unless medically needed but it doesn't hurt to ask and see

Mine won't induce me until I'm passed 41 weeks. I am 40+5 today.. I have appointment Tuesday if labor doesn't start by then, they will schedule induction
