Anyone have a Dr manipulate when you ovulate?

My husband is away for an extended amount of time for work, plus i wasn't ovulating on my own, but i am going to go see him soon. My Dr first figured out how to get me to ovulate. This month I'm on birth control to dissolve cysts. He said after that he'll have me ready snd timed right for when I'm with my husband. Does anyone know how they do this? As it stands now abd if my cycle stays as it usually is, my fertile week would be 7 days prior of when i will see my husband for a week. Putting faith in God that He will give the Dr, and my body, the right timing for this!
