I was woke up on Friday the 19th at around 3:00am with pain . I relaxed took a bath to see if it would go away and the pain didn't go away. I then woke my s/o up and told him I was having pain. He then started monitoring my contractions for about 15 min . He then said let's go to the hospital Your in labor . I got to the hospital around 8am after getting everything and taking our 4 year old to a family member that wasn't working. We checked in at the ER. && 20 min later I was put on a monitor to check if I was contracting and how far apart they were. They then came in 30 min later and said they were attmiting me . The nurse told me "Your having a baby today" . I was so nervous . My s/o got prepared and they transferred me to another room and started me on pitocin to speed up labor . I came in at 2cm 80% effaced . At around 10am I was at 4cm. My doctor came in and broke my water. And put a monitor on baby's head to get heartbeat better. I waited about at around 3pm I was about 6cm dilated . I was in the worst pain ever I did not get the epidural. I was screaming and crying because of the contractions they hurt so bad . At around 6pm I was at 8cm dilated and still had an hr or more to go by this point I was in excruciating pain I was screaming crying I almost broke my hubbys hand because I was squeezing so hard. He did great Thoe he kept telling me your almost there you can do this he was so on it with me he never left my side I appreciate that so much . At 7:25pm my baby boy Kashtian King was born 6pounds 17& 1/2 inches long . I couldn't be more proud of myself it was extremely painful but I did it and I'm so thankful I had my hubby there every step of the way . I love him and our son and our family so much.
