coconut oil?

Amy
Has anybody used coconut oil for there nipples I've been using lansinoh lanolin but would like to try coconut oil,   I know with the lanolin I don't have to wash/or remove it off before I feed my little girl but do you have to remove coconut oil before you feed?
Also has anyone tried mixing the two together was just a thought? Baby's only 5 days old xx

I was using lansinoh but found it a bit sticky and not too helpful. I switched to coconut oil ( got a spray bottle which I pour it into, so I don't even need to touch it and contaminate it, lol). I found it sooo helpful. Nipple pain is a thing of the past for me

I buy the coconut oil in a jar and pour it into a spray bottle which I bought separately

It turns liquid when warm. If it's solid in the bottle I put the bottle on the radiator for a few minutes

I used coconut oil on my entire body including nipples after my shower. Sometimes I let them air dry and then put the Lanoish cream on them. No need to wipe off

I love this! It would be a good vegan way to soothe nipples too! I'm glad I saw this.

I loved using coconut oil. I'd switch back and forth between that and lanolin, mostly depending on which was within arm's reach at the moment. But I liked the coconut oil tons more. I had horribly chapped and scabbed nipples from improper latch and it completely saved me. And no, you do not have to wash it off.
