changing period

Wonder if anyone can help? I'm currently on the weeks break from my pill. My period is due on a week I'm going on holiday and I don't want to be on when I'm on holiday. Is it too okay to miss out another week from my pill so my period is due a week later? How long will I need to have protected sex for after I've missed an extra week?
