Was your first birth/labour harder than your second?

First birth was natural so it was lots of work and exhausting at the beginning until baby was out then it was easy from then on.
Second baby, I had to have a c-section with so the beginning was easy going but after the numbing meds wore off it was rough and very painful.
So they both had their harder parts but the c-section (second delivery) takes the win with this one it was way more painful, more exhausting, stressful ; emotionally and physically, longer recovery, I needed more help and I had to take more meds.

First labor was pretty easy, but I was sent home from L&D twice and by the time I went in the third time baby was crowing, so the actual delivery was a little traumatic for me and I hadn't planned on having a med free birth. She was fine, and completely healthy and born 12 hours after the first contraction at 7 lbs 9 oz; 40 weeks 4 days.

Second baby I was induced and actually wanted to go natural without induction or pain meds. I ended up getting the epidural because the contractions were pretty intense and overall it was a great labor and delivery, but I felt defeated because I had to be induced and I had the epidural. 5 hours total for labor and delivery with this one and she was 7 lbs 15oz; 39 weeks and 2 days.

Third baby was my longest labor, and hardest delivery. I was in labor for 22 hours, although the hardest part only lasted about 2 hours of that. I had a med free labor and delivery. I did have my water artificially ruptured around 18 hours into labor because I stalled. Transition was very difficult and I was ready for an epidural, but there would not have been time since I hadn't had an iv. I pushed for about 20 minutes I guess, and about 8-10 times before she was born. This was the hardest part as she was 9 lbs 1.5 oz, and pushing her head out was very painful but once the largest part was cleared, it was instant relief.

I can say recovery with this baby has been the easiest. I had a small tear and I never had any pain from it. The worst part of my recovery has been my hips being sore.

They were about the same for me. The thing that was harder was it was harder to push with my first because I didn't know what I was doing.

My first I had to be induced and after 19 hours of labor he finally decided to come. He was a week late and just didn't wanna come out. My second totally different story. I work nights and worked until 2:30 having slight contractions. Drove home. Laid in bed about a half hour still slight contractions. Woke my husband drove to the hospital and within 35 minutes my second little man was here. Hopefully baby #3 is even easier.
