Ultrasounds
So, I went in for my initial blood and urine work results on Wednesday (good news, I am immune to everything and hemoglobin and sugar levels are good..). While in the uncomfortable PAP position I asked my Doctor about Ultrasounds.
Here they only do Ultrasounds on week 20, unless the 10 week non invasive MSS comes back with a high probability of a defect. Then they'll try and arrange a detailed ultrasound but only if you're over 35 and since the detailed machine is not in our regional health authority it's a referral.
Is anyone else from Canada or another country where they do the same thing? And if so, do you sit/stand and stare at the screen in awe that folks seem to be able to see their blips of life while we just wait assuming everything is going well?
