Does anyone suffer from headaches either the week before their period or week of? I get horrible headaches that last about 2 days and need to take a lot of Advil (which doesn't always help) to relieve it. Most of the times it doesn't relieve it, it turns into a dull headache. The headaches are more like migraines when they are really bad- I get nauseous, need to lay in dark with no sound... one MD told me this is because my progesterone levels drop quickly around this time, but she didn't really take the time to explain. I am on the birth control pill Migrogestrin. She said if I switched to a name brand maybe headache would go away. I also hope to be off the pill soon but worried headaches will be worse.
