Maybe a reaction to the anesthesia/medicine? I didn't have any physical signs but was super itchy afterwards.

this happened to me as well! i'm unsure what it is or what caused it but my skin got really itchy and began to peel off in layers (like sunburn). it was the strangest, most uncomfortable feeling. i started putting a&d ointment on it and it's no longer itchy and finally seemed to stop peeling after 2 weeks post.
