how early can I take a pregnancy test?

I'm pretty sure ovulation occurred today and was wondering how early I could test and possibly start getting a faint line (if I'm pregnant) 
What's the best test to use for testing early?

I got my first faint positive at 8dpo with an .88 cent First Signal test from Walmart! They say that for most women a faint positive isn't likely until around 10dpo! So in your case I'd say probably a week and a half to two weeks! :) good luck!!
