HSG test?!

I am supposed to schedule an appt. for my HSG test this week after I start my period to  check for tubal blockages. Has anyone had this done? What was your experience? Painful? Any advice? My husband and I have been TTC 13 months and all other testing has checked out with good results thus far so this is our next step!

Wtf...MARKIE! I seriously can't believe I finally know someone on this app. 😱 what is even crazier is that joe and I have been TTC for 14 months and I have an appointment Tuesday to see a specialist to schedule and HSG! I've had all my blood work and ultrasounds come back normal and joe had been checked and was 100% normal too. So crazy to think we are going thru the exact same thing. I hope your HSG goes well. Keep me posted and I have my fingers crossed for you 😘

So excited for you two!! I'm seeing someone out of Temple who accepts my insurance!! I'm hoping we have the same results!! I'll let you know on Friday 😊 my dr and I discussed clomid as the next step for us but I'm a little iffy on the idea of multiples! Lol!!

Yup! Everyone has different experiences. It's not very pleasant having the catheter put in with the dye, I'll tell you that. I heard if you have a blockage that it makes your tube hurt. I had no blocks, squirmed a little on the table while having it done but I survived, lol. I remember the worst was having to wiggle down to the edge of the table. Don't worry, you'll be fine. I didn't have pain after however I was tired and just rested.
