EMT class while pregnant?

Question

So as of tuesady I will be 12 weeks along. Tomorrow I start a EMT program at my local College. It is twice a week for 17 weeks and 24 hours worth of Clinicals some done in an ER and some done on an ambulance. By graduation I will be 29 weeks along. I know women who work as EMT's until 30+ weeks pregnant. But anyone have any nice opinions??

Just make sure you get lots of sleep.. emt courses are really serious and require quite a bit of studying and paying extremely close attention. Especially in clinicals. You can do it. 😊 just make sure you set aside plenty of time to study and rest

i am an EMT! (not currently working as one) but i went through school a year ago. You are required to get A LOT of vaccines so make sure they are pregnancy safe. You don't handle needles as a basic, but i did have patients hit/grab me. I wouldn't be too afraid during clinicals, just know you can be exposed to some pretty sick people.
